An 'All British' 1st Annual Picnic
Saturday, April 7, 2018
The local MG club, MG Classics of Jacksonville, organized the 'First Annual Spring Drive & Picnic' at the Ribault Club & Kingsley Plantation located on Fort George Island in Jacksonville. The event consisted of Combined Drive and Picnic which included the Triumph Club, Austin Healey Club, and the Jaguar Car Club, plus any other British Car Owner who care to join the event. First all of the participants met at Rebault Club for a photo shoot and then drove over to the Kingsley plantation for a BYO picnic on their lawns.
The slide show starts at one of the meeting points that were arrange for people to 'convoy' to the event. A rest stop was made about half way to the event. As you can see from the pictures, the event was well attended with a number of very interesting cars attending. From there, those of the group who were picnicing headed over to the Kingsley Estate and enjoyed our lunches. The weather started out sunny, but the scheduled thunder storms (scheduled by nature, not the organizers!) appeared and everyone hurried to put up their tops in preperation for the trip home. To make the day complete, one of the club members car required a road side repair.
