One of our members Rick Stevenson’s many projects is the restoration of a gold BJ8 he purchased in pieces. The project for this meet was to install the axle, radius arms, and rear leaf springs. Members Mike Foster and Bill Maroney spent 2 days figuring out this puzzle under Rick’s watchful eye! Everyone learned a lot!

Jack+wedge +large C clamp bolts front spring

 

Axel&spring -2 Ubolt+2 pads+3 plates+2 jack

 

Extra weight on axel-jacks raise car before full spring compression

 

2 bottle jacks give access to Ubolts+plates
