Saint Johns Austin Healey Club Minutes for January 5, 2026

        Our January meeting was held on Jan 5th at the home of Bob & Norma Pippin in Mandarin. In attendance were. Rick & Marilynn Stevenson, Bill & Char Maroney, Bob & Norma Pippin, Bill Young, Erling Onsager, Ben Proctor, & Dave Morton.
The meeting was called to order at 7:20 and was facilitated by our club V.P. Dave Morton.
Dave reported our Treasury starting balance of $$$$$$ with deposits of $250.00 giving us a total balance of $$$$$$.

      Bill Maroney updated us on our current membership. Currently we have a total of 38 paid members ( AHCA=34 and Local members =4). Of the 34 AHCA members 24 have renewed there 2026 membership. Bill will be sending out an updated membership roster along with a Combined Member Email list. We have a new club member Mike Gibson ( Bug Eye Sprite ) Rafert Hartt (1966 BN-6) will also be joining our club

      Bill Young reviewed the minutes of the AHCA Delegates Meeting which was held in Plainfield, Indiana on November 8th & 9th last year. National has requested that local clubs begin submitting articles on club activities for the Healey Marquee Magazine. Dave Morton has volunteered to put an article together for submission. Also of note was that National membership is down to 2,408 from a high 3,500 members.

      Thanks to Bill Young for agreeing to keep the Activities Calendar updated as new activities are scheduled. Bob and Tony will keep Bill current on upcoming activities. Mark your calendars for activities planned for the next few months.

      January 14th 9:00 A.M. Tech session at Bob Pippin’s garage. Plans are to replace the steering wheel on Bob’s 1966 BJ-8. Also, we will be replacing the gas gauge sending unit on Ben Procter’s Healey. Looks to be a good turnout for this session. If you have not already please let Bob know if you are planning on attending.

     February 12th 1:00 P.M. Annual St. Valentines Day Brunch at Fleet Landing in Atlantic Beach. The following have RSVP’d for this event. Dave & Angela Morton, Rafert & Marina Hartt, Bill & Judy Young, Tony Martina, Paul & Judy Sandifer, Bill & Char Maroney, Rick & Marilynn Stevenson, Bob & Norma Pippin, Ben & Lisa Procter, Mike & Joan Foster and John & Nancy Leenhouts. Please advise Bob or Tony if you are planning to attend. Mike Foster has sent out all the details. More to follow as we get closer. We will be having our February club meeting at this event.

      February 16th 9:00 A.M. Tech Session. At the home of Rafert Hartt, 516 Redberry Lane St. Johns. Rafert is a new member who inherited a 1964 3000 MK II (BN6). The car has been dormant for sometime but was recently started. Dave Morton has requested that we go by and take a look at the brakes and clutch and see if we can get Rafert on the road. Also, to give the car a going over. Please let Bob Pippin know if you would like to join us.

March 2nd Monthly Meeting 6:30 P.M. This meeting will be scheduled at a restaurant TBD.
March 12th Hoping to plan a lunch cruise to the Wobly Whale on US-1. Please let Bob or Tony know if you plan on joining us. We’ill try and join up as a group and caravanning over to the restaurant. More to follow as we see who’s going. Lets get our cars on the road.
April 6th Monthly Meeting 7:00 P.M. At the home of Ben & Lisa Procter. 620 Palencia Club Drive Unit 204.
