March 2026 Meeting

      Our March 2nd member meeting was held at Culhanes Irish Pub on Southside Blvd. In attendance were Tony Martini, Rick & Marilyn Stevenson, Mike Foster, Steve & Randi Heise, Erling Onsager, Jim Gaff, Bob & Norma Pippin and Bill & Char Maroney.

     Club President Mike Foster called the meeting to order at 6:20 P.M. The February meeting minutes were approved.

     Membership Chairman Bill Maroney reported that there are presently 38 paid members. AHCA-30 Local members 8. Also Bill recently sent out an updated club roster along with an updated club master e-mail list. This list is a word document which can be copy and pasted.

     Club Treasurer Paul Sandifer was not in attendance but reported the following which was presented by Bob Pippin.

    Webmaster Erling Onsager updated the status of our SJAHC website. The club website is made up of two bills. (1) Hosting the website (2) the cost to keep our website address.
(SJAHC.com) which is licensed to the club. Erling suggested that an entry be made in the clubs budget to address this cost when they come due. As for the amounts and due date, Erling will do some further research to determine amounts and due dates.

     Erling recently updated the website with the last three newsletters reports and that he is currently working on the calendar screen. Additionally, the group photo from our Valentines lunch was was posted in the February newsletter.

     The first Austin Healey Tech Support Zoom Meeting was held on 2/24 @ 7:00 P.M. While there were some glitches the meeting was considered to be successful. Future meetings will be held on the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. You can go to the AHCA website and see a slide show outlining topics of discussion during this call. Also instructions for those wishing to attend future Zoom meetings.

     The cruise to Wobbly Whale that was planned for March 12th has been cancelled and re-scheduled for Thursday April 2nd. The weather should be good for a cruise and this is an excellent opportunity to get our cars on the road. Please contact Bob or Tony if you are planning to go. More to follow soon.

     There was some discussion regarding changing the format for future tech sessions. It was proposed that we have shop socials vs shop tech sessions. During these socials, members would meet to discuss issues with their cars and to perform minor preventative maintenance. Special sessions would be scheduled for more involved mechanical repairs. There was some dissent and no final decision was made. We'll continue to solicit member input and make a determination regarding future tech sessions.

     Mark your calenders for the S.E. Classic September 17th- 20th at Dahlonega, Ga.

     The Concourse d' Elegance is scheduled for this weekend March 5th, 6th & 7th.

     Our next meeting is scheduled for April 6th at the home of Ben & Lisa Procter. Please contact Tony or Bob if you will be attending.
